Charles Floyd (1782 - August 20, 1804) was a United States explorer, an officer and quartermaster in the Lewis and Clark Expedition. He was the relative of William Clark.

He took ill at a beginning of August 1804 & remained then until his demise. William Clark described Floyd's dying when of these "with a great deal of composure" & that prior to Floyd died he said to Clark: "I am going away. I want you to write me a letter." Clark diagnosed a problem which led to Floyd's dying when bilious colic, though modern doctors and historiographer agree Floyd's dying was further belike to develop been from either the burst appendix.
